The Hate Crime Network is a project that has been run by Milton Keynes Equality Council, under various names, for over 20 years. We are currently commissioned by the Thames Valley Police and Crime Commissioner to work across Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire.
We work to raise awareness of hate crime amongst individuals, groups and organisations working with communities at risk from hate crime and offer those who have experienced it the opportunity to report to a third party instead of the Police if they are concerned or worried.
We support individuals who have experienced hate crime ensuring they feel they are getting the best deal from the Criminal Justice System and are listened to.
We also offer training and support to organisations that work with communities, making certain that those on the frontline know what hate crime is, what to do if they come across it and how to help someone experiencing it.
